On the 11th  of December until the 14th of December, 2024, Bujairi Terrace became a center point for the Kingdom’s celebration in its historic achievement to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. This milestone came after Saudi Arabia’s bid received the highest technical evaluation in FIFA’s history, reflecting the Kingdom’s leadership role and the transformative renaissance it is experiencing across all sectors.

The 10-week offers an outlet for productive families and will showcase a wide range of products encompassing everything from home-cooked food and desserts, home-brewed coffee, and homegrown fruit and vegetables to handcrafted scents and garments.

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has welcomed the designation of Diriyah as the Capital of Arab Culture for 2030, announced by the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). The selection recognizes the city’s distinguished standing as a timeless symbol of the rich culture of Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East, as well as its remarkable history and civilizational heritage that are still influential today.

Eid Al-Adha Celebrations Bring Residents and Visitors Together at Diriyah

A key example of its commitment to strengthening bonds with the local community, Diriyah Company hosted Eid Al-Adha celebrations across the destination this month. Four days of festivities and celebrations took place in Bujairi Terrace, Diriyah Municipal Square, Al-Khalidiya Park, Al-Faisaliah Park, and Jax Park, bringing together residents and visitors in a spirit of joy and excitement. 

As part of the series of festive events in parks, and gardens across Diriyah, a fleet of “Happiness Fun Buses” were deployed, traveling across the neighborhoods and parks, making a special stop at the Diriyah Hospital, creating a cheerful Eid atmosphere for the children.  

In collaboration with the “Be My Friend” association, more than 15,000 gifts were distributed to visitors. From live entertainment to cultural experiences and unique dining gatherings at Bujairi Terrace, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 

With a $63.2 billion investment pipeline, Diriyah is set to become one of the world’s great gathering places, home to 100,000 residents, and expected to welcome more than 27 million visitors by 2030. A hub for cultural exchange and celebration, Diriyah welcomes visitors from across the world showcasing and celebrating nearly 300 years of Saudi heritage and culture.
