Diriyah Season 2023 Debut

19 October 2023

Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) has recently concluded its participation at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) 2022, which afforded it an opportunity to update the international travel industry on the latest developments and announcements in Diriyah and exchange knowledge and insights with global industry leaders and players at the luxury trade show, which took place from 5 December - 8 December and welcomed more than 15,000 visitors and 1,000 global exhibitors in Cannes, France.

Through a range of educational sessions and networking segments, ILTM 2022 Cannes offered those at the event the opportunity to connect and learn more about global projects. The renowned travel show presented DGDA and its executive team with the chance to raise awareness of Diriyah, the birthplace of the modern Saudi state, and promote the district’s redevelopment master plan.

Established in 2017, DGDA continues to make remarkable strides in the redevelopment of the district located just outside Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh, creating a cultural destination ready to welcome people from within the Kingdom and abroad.

Diriyah’s presence at ILTM followed the recent signing of agreements with 16 new luxury hotels and hotel brands, bringing the total number of signed hotel agreements to 32, as well as the official opening of At-Turaif, the UNESCO World Heritage site and Bujairi Terrace, Diriyah’s new premium dining destination.

DGDA’s participation in ILTM also allowed the company an opportunity to showcase its recent hospitality developments. The district is set to feature more than 300 luxury branded residences and 38 luxury hotels and resorts. The Four Seasons, Raffles, Park Hyatt, The Address and the Ritz-Carlton are just several of the hoteliers slated to open, with more international operators scheduled to open in Diriyah.

Through the mudbrick construction and the continual establishment of new hospitality, commercial, and educational venues, Diriyah continues to emerge as one of the world’s greatest gathering places where Saudi history is protected, respected and celebrated.
